Works

We are working on the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station. In the weekend of 13-16 June, a large crane will be lifting a new platform roof into position, section by section, from the A10. At the same time, Rijkswaterstaat (the Public Works Department) will be carrying out major maintenance on the A10 at the Amstel junction.

Railway traffic

On Saturday, 14 and Sunday, 15 June 2025, there will be no trains running to and from Amsterdam Zuid station. Metros will however still be running.

Code red for 26 June until 12 July

From 22.00 on Thursday, 26 June until 21.00 on Saturday, 12 July 2025, there will be a 16-day closure of the A4, A10 Zuid and A10 Oost in the direction of A1 Hengelo and A2 Utrecht. The last day, 12 July, coincides with the start of the school holidays in the Northern Netherlands. We will of course continue to provide detailed updates on this long closure.

Reduced railway service

From 21.00 on Thursday, 26 June until Saturday, 16 August, there will be fewer trains running to and from Amsterdam Zuid station. Railway track 1 will be out of service. You should therefore expect the trains to be full(er) and the platforms to be more crowded.
