During this period, we will be working at several locations as part of the Zuidasdok project. Heavy congestion is expected, particularly on the motorways. This could increase your journey time by up to one hour. Please plan your journey in advance.
Works
We are carrying out works for the widening of the A10 Zuid and the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station. At the Schinkelbrug, we will install the steel bascule section (the movable part of the new bridge on the south side). At the A4 at the De Nieuwe Meer junction, we will install foundation piles and sheet piles. At Amsterdam Zuid station, we will also install foundation piles and sheet piles, for the construction of an excavation pit from which we will later renovate the existing passenger tunnel. At Beethovenstraat, we are constructing an access ramp between the railway tracks leading to this excavation pit. As a result, the west side is closed to cyclists and pedestrians. To the east of the station, we will continue building the foundation for the future Vivaldipassage.
No train services 28 April – 4 May
From Tuesday, 28 April to Monday, 4 May 2026, no trains will run to or from Amsterdam Zuid station. Metro services will continue to operate. Please plan your journey using the NS journey planner and allow for additional travel time, transfers or alternative routes. On King’s Day (27 April) and from Liberation Day (5 May), train services will run according to the normal timetable.
