The works on the A10 Zuid and the railway will take place during the following weekends:
- 22:00 on Friday, 10 May until 05:00 on Monday, 13 May
- 22:00 on Friday, 17 May until 05:00 on Monday, 20 May
- 22:00 on Friday, 24 May until 05:00 on Monday, 27 May
- 22:00 on Friday, 31 May until 05:00 on Monday, 03 June
- 22:00 on Friday, 7 June until 05:00 on Tuesday 11 June (Whit weekend)
The A10 Zuid will be closed during four weekends on the southern side starting at 22:00 on Friday evening and lasting until 05:00 on Monday morning. During the fifth weekend, the road will also be closed on Whit Monday (10 June). Approaching from the A10 West, the A10 Zuid will be closed from the De Nieuwe Meer junction in the direction of the A2 and the A10 Oost (Amstel junction). Approaching from the A4/Schiphol, the motorway (A4 and A10 Zuid) will be closed from the junction at Badhoevedorp. Traffic will be diverted via the A5 and A9. During all of the weekends, it will still be possible to use the S109 access route in the direction of the Amstel junction and the same will apply to the A10 Zuid and the A4 in the direction of Schiphol.
Longer travel times
Road users should expect increased traffic and extra travel time of up to 1 hour. Rijkswaterstaat (Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) advises road users to prepare their journeys, for example via www.vananaarbeter.nl.
It will not be possible to travel by train from, to or via Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam RAI railway stations Passengers will be diverted via Amsterdam Central Station. In the first four weekends, train services will resume as normal on Mondays. During the fifth weekend, there will be only limited trains running on Whit Monday, 10 June. Passengers travelling to and from Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam RAI stations can make use of the metro. NS advises passengers to consult the NS travel planner before departure and to expect longer travel times.
