Zuidasdok meetings on De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel interchanges

Large numbers of people will be affected by the work on the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel interchanges, including residents, businesses, commuters, workers and holidaymakers. This work is necessary because of the widening of the A10 Zuid between the two interchanges. There will be six lanes in each direction, instead of the current four. On the A10 Zuid, we will also be separating Amsterdam traffic from through-traffic. This will improve road safety and traffic flow.

Changes planned

In order to achieve these improvements, we need to make some major changes to both interchanges. We are starting with the De Nieuwe Meer, where the A4 and the A10 merge. The tender for this work is currently in progress. The work on the Amstel interchange (A2 and A10) will be done later.

Two walk-in meetings

We will tell you more about all of this at two walk-in meetings on 24 and 25 November. Experts will also be on hand with videos, photographs and maps to explain what else Zuidasdok will be working on in the years ahead.

Amstel interchange

Zuidasdok

The work on the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel interchanges is part of the Zuidasdok project, the Netherlands’ largest infrastructure project. Zuidasdok will improve accessibility for Zuidas and the northern part of the Randstad. We are renovating and increasing the size of Amsterdam Zuid station, bringing the A10 Zuid underground in the central area of Zuidas and widening the A10 Zuid in both directions from 4 to 6 lanes.
