New shared transport hub in Arnold Schönberglaan

Close to Zuid station

Since the end of last year, it has been possible for Amsterdam citizens, commuters or day visitors to access a variety of shared transport from Amsterdam Zuid station. You will find the hub that we set up in December 2021 if you turn right at the southern exit of the Minervapassage. We have created space for ten shared bikes, eleven shared electric scooters and ten shared cars, some of them electric. We deliberately opted for a hub close to the station to facilitate passengers’ easy access to shared transport. Much of Zuidas is a car-free zone, with only limited parking spaces. Shared transport can be a pleasant alternative to using your own car.

How to use the hub

If you want to use one of the shared bikes, cars or scooters at the hub, you will need to download the Amaze app or the relevant provider’s app. After you have linked up your data, you can use the app to book vehicles. The various apps also allow you to view vehicle availability. Some vehicles have to be returned to the hub in Arnold Schönberglaan after use, whereas others can be parked elsewhere.

Pilot

The hub in Arnold Schönberglaan is a pilot and will remain here until November 2023. After that, the site will be part of the working area for Zuidasdok. We are investigating whether the use of shared (electric) transport can be encouraged by creating more parking spaces.
