Ask&GO to provide travel advice during Zuidasdok works

How does it work?

In the lead-up to and during the works, it will be possible to request personal travel advice from a member of Ask&GO staff via askandgo.nl. Perhaps you have an appointment at VU University, commute to work every day in Zuidas or use the A10 Zuid to travel to Amsterdam Zuid-Oost? If so, during the works – and, in fact, from now on – you can ask Ask&GO whether you can expect any disruption. You say where you want to go and indicate your preferred mode of transport. While the works are in progress, you will find out within ten minutes whether you can expect disruption and what your best travel options are. Outside the period of large-scale works, you can expect to receive a response within a day. The member of staff answering your question will be fully up to speed on the latest closures and alternative routes. You will be sent route links for navigation apps, such as Google Maps. Ask&GO is aimed at anyone who has a question about travel, regardless of the mode of transport.

Diversions

For an 11-day period during the summer, we are closing the A4 and the A10 Zuid in the direction of Utrecht from the Badhoevedorp junction to the S109 RAI access road. Traffic will be diverted via the A9 and A5. The closure will begin on 22 July at 22:00 and last until the morning rush hour on Wednesday, 3 August. Amsterdam Zuid station will remain accessible by train, but with a reduced service. The metro will run its normal service during this period. Service also available for future closures

We are working on the complete renovation of Amsterdam Zuid station and widening and under-tunnelling the A10 Zuid. This work will involve frequent road or railway/metro closures. In order to reduce disruption to passengers as far as possible, we will also offer the Ask&GO service during major closures in the future.
