Reminder: A4 and A10 Zuid closed for eight days in August 2023

We would like to remind you that in the summer holidays of 2023, the A10 Zuid is set to transform into one big building site. Next to Amsterdam Zuid station, we will temporarily remove the motorway and a section of railway track in order to insert two huge sections of roof for the second station passageway into position. This second station passageway will be to the west of the existing one, in the embankment where the motorway and railway and metro track are located.

Utrecht direction

To enable the construction work, the A4 and the A10 Zuid in the direction of Utrecht need to be closed from the Badhoevedorp junction to the S109 RAI access road. The closure will begin on Saturday, 5 August at 22.00 and last until the morning rush hour on Monday, 14 August. Traffic will be diverted via the A9 and A5 (see the map below). Although the relatively quiet, low-traffic holiday period has been chosen for the road closure, drivers can expect significant increases in journey times, of up to one hour in total.
