Be the first to walk through the new Brittenpassage

You could almost imagine that the people from the Nieuw-Zuid construction consortium are working on some kind of underground cathedral. There are diggers driving to and fro, excavating huge pits. Along the edges of this gigantic space, welders are working on the side walls and removing any sheet piling no longer required. And right in the centre are the remains of what was once the Amstelveenboog tunnel.

Travel and retail

In a few years’ time, this will be an attractive passageway, where travellers can not only catch the train and metro, but also enjoy some great retail therapy. It is already possible to imagine where the amenities will be and where people will be rushing up the staircase, escalator or lift to reach one of the platforms.
