This weekend, we will be lifting heavy equipment just above the entrance in Zuidplein, partly in order to build back the northern metro track. For the safety of passengers, we will be closing the station on that side. However, the entrances in Gustav Mahlerplein and Parnassusweg will be open.
Entrances in Mahlerplein and Parnassusweg open
It will still be possible to access the railway and metro directly via the entrance in Mahlerplein. To reach Mahlerplein from Zuidplein, you should go via Eduard van Beinumstraat, Parnassusweg and Arnold Schönberglaan. The entrance/exit in Parnassusweg will also remain open, enabling direct access to the railway platforms. To get to the metro from there, walk the full length of the railway platform to reach the station passageway. If you are exiting the station via Parnassusweg, the pedestrian route to the centre will be signposted.
Special transport between Zuidplein and Mahlerplein
In Matthijs Vermeulenpad (WTC/Zuidplein) and Arnold Schönberglaan (Mahlerplein), special transport will be standing by to drive people with mobility issues from Zuidplein (WTC) to Mahlerplein and vice-versa.
This transport will be available on:
- Saturday, 10 August: from 05.30 until 01.00
- Sunday, 11 August: from 05.30 until 01.00
