Traffic disruption
Road users should allow extra time for their journeys, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. Two of the three lanes are open. If possible, please delay your journey, use an alternative route, or work from home.
Repair work
The damaged lane will remain closed until it has been repaired. This work will be carried out this week, at night. It will take several nights to complete.
Bus lane
The bus lane towards Amstelveenseweg remains open and can be used by buses.
Widening of A10 Zuid
The work is necessary to allow the A10 Zuid to be widened. We are creating additional carriageways, each with two extra lanes, intended for local traffic. From the De Nieuwe Meer junction, extra viaducts are needed over Amstelveenseweg and Piet Kranenbergpad, and extra bridges over the River Schinkel. We are currently making preparations for the construction of these bridges and viaducts. At various locations along the A10 Zuid, we are inserting temporary sheet piling into the ground. We are doing this in order to be able to dig the embankment on which the A10 Zuid is built. The sheet piling will then ensure that the road remains stable in its current position. The digging work is necessary as there is no space alongside the embankment to build the extra carriageways. We will be building them where the embankment are currently situated.
