Update, Monday 2 December 2024
The next weekend road closure will start at 22.00 on the evening of Friday, 6 December and last until 05.00 on the morning of Monday, 9 December. In order to take as much pressure off the A10 Zuid as possible, the S109 access road will also be closed from Europaboulevard to the A10 Zuid between 08.00 and 20.00 on Saturday and Sunday. All traffic will be diverted via the A2 and A9. The same closure took place on the weekend of Friday, 29 November and you can read a report about it here.

Please note: extra congestion in the city
The closure of the road connecting the A10 Zuid to the A4/Schiphol will also have an impact in the city. We recommend that you travel by public transport or (shared) bike. If you are relying on the car, you should plan your route using TomTom Go, Waze and Apple Maps and Ask&GO (also see below). You should expect significant congestion in the following places:
- Hoofddorpplein and Zeilstraat, in both directions
- Stadionweg and Amstelveenseweg in the direction of Zeilstraat
- Marathonweg and Herculesstraat in the direction of Hoofddorpplein
- Parnassusweg in the direction of the city
What will still be open?
- A10 Zuid in the direction of A10 West
- A10 West in the direction of A4 Schiphol/Rotterdam
- A10 Zuid in the direction of A1/Hengelo and A2/Utrecht
- S108 access road and exit in both directions
- S109 RAI exit in both directions
- S109 RAI access road in the direction of A1/Hengelo and A2/Utrecht

Installing sheet piling
This weekend, we are carrying out preparatory work for the large-scale reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer junction. We will be installing sheet piling, moving street lighting and working on cables and pipelines.
Preparations for extra carriageways on A10 Zuid
The weekend closures are necessary in order to make it possible to widen the A10 Zuid. For traffic in both directions, there will be extra carriageways, each with two additional lanes intended for local traffic. From the De Nieuwe Meer junction, extra viaducts are needed over Amstelveenseweg and Piet Kranenbergpad, and extra bridges over the River Schinkel. We are currently making preparations for the construction of these bridges and viaducts. The sheet piling will ensure that the road remains stable in its position during the construction work.
