Preparations for extra carriageways on A10 Zuid
The weekend closures are necessary in order to make it possible to widen the A10 Zuid. For traffic in both directions, there will be extra carriageways, each with two additional lanes intended for local traffic. From the De Nieuwe Meer junction, extra viaducts are needed over Amstelveenseweg and Piet Kranenbergpad as well as extra bridges across the river Schinkel. We are currently making preparations for the construction of these bridges and viaducts. The sheet piling will ensure that the road remains stable in its position during the construction work. The piles are part of the new foundations for the signpost gantry above the road – which is being slightly moved.
Share your views on the closures
In December 2024, this section of the De Nieuwe Meer junction was already closed during three weekends. We are eager to hear from you how the works went. This will help to limit future traffic disruption as far as possible.
In collaboration with the Public Works Department (Rijkswaterstaat) and Ipsos I&O, we have compiled a questionnaire (in Dutch) for this purpose. It will take around ten minutes to complete.
