On Tuesday, 11 March, the Zuidas-Zuidasdok Information Centre is the place to be if you want to know more about everything that is set to happen on the south side of Amsterdam. From 12.00 until 13.00 and from 18.00 until 19.00, experts will be standing by to tell you all about the huge changes that are happening. There is no need to register in advance for the Information Market.
Guided tours and presentations
On the same day, we are also organising four guided tours and two presentations that we very much recommend. Make sure that you register quickly.
This is the programme.
1. A walk on the yet-to-be-built A10 tunnel
The work has not even started yet, but we are already taking you on a guided tour across the roof of the future tunnel where the A10 Zuid will be. It is a very complex project. How do you actually build a tunnel when the motorway above it stays open during the works? Your guide will explain it all.
- Guided tour 1: 13.00-14.00 uur
- Guided tour 2: 15.00-16.00 uur
2. A new station under construction
The regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station is well and truly underway. Your guide will take you to the construction sites currently in use and offer you a glimpse of the future.
- Guided tour 1: 13.15-14.15 uur
- Guided tour 2: 15.30-16.30 uur
3. An overview of Zuidas
Discover Zuidas. As you walk, your guide will present a unique perspective on the development of the Zuidas district and the Zuidasdok infrastructure project.
- Guided tour 1: 13.30-14.30 uur
- Guided tour 2: 17.00-18.00 uur
4. Residential district in the Valley front garden
Join our guide as you climb the iconic Valley building and see and hear everything about the Ravel residential construction site you can see below you.
- Guided tour 1: 13.15-14.15 uur
- Guided tour 2: 15.00-16.00 uur
5. Just closing the motorway…but how?
In order to do our work, we regularly have to close the A10 Zuid. You will be amazed by how complex this process really is. One of our traffic experts has a fascinating story to tell about it. And about the closures still to come in 2025.
- Presentation: 13.30-14.15 uur
6. Digging up Amstelveenseweg
This summer – and in subsequent summers – we will be carrying out some major roadworks in Amstelveenseweg. More specifically: around the S108 access roads and exits. Find out all about the transformation that Amstelveenseweg is set to undergo.
