In the upcoming period, the TriAX construction consortium (Besix, Dura Vermeer and Heijmans) will be installing sheet piling at the side of the A10 West. Where possible, we will do this from Anthony Fokkerweg, in order to minimise disruption on the A10 West caused by the works. However, because several protected trees are located there, we will also be working on the A10 West during two weekends and closing it in advance for that purpose. Below you can find details of upcoming disruption expected.
A10 West closed twice
The first closure of the A10 West will be from 28 May until 2 June, when it will be closed from the A4 and the A10 Zuid. From 6 June until 10 June 2025 (Whit weekend), we will also be closing the A10 West but in that case only from the A10 Zuid. Both of these could increase journey times by up to 60 minutes.
Closures of A. Fokkerweg
At other times, parts of Anthony Fokkerweg and of the A10 underpass between Luchtvaartstraat and Overschiestraat will be closed. The first partial closure of Anthony Fokkerweg will be from Tuesday, 6 May until Friday, 27 July. There will be traffic signs locally to indicate diversions for road users.

Widening of A10 Zuid
Part of the Zuidasdok programme involves the widening of the A10 Zuid, between the Amstel and De Nieuwe Meer junctions. Instead of four, it will have six lanes in each direction: four for through-traffic and two for traffic from and to Amsterdam Zuid. This will improve safety and traffic flow.
In order to make this possible, we are building or renovating 14 viaducts in and around the De Nieuwe Meer junction, including a new flyover for local traffic travelling from the A10 Zuid to the A4 in the future. For local traffic travelling from the A10 Zuid to the A10 West, we are building a new carriageway with hard shoulder alongside the S107 Henk Sneevlietweg exit. The sheet piling work from May until October is being done in order to be able to move this exit to create room for the extra carriageway.
Zuidasdok: plenty of work in 2025
In 2025, we will be working at pace on the widening of the A10 Zuid and the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station. View the details of all current disruption here. Here, you can view a total overview of the major disruption we expect in 2025 (pdf, in Dutch).
