From 29 May 2024, we will be closing Jachthavenweg to enable the road to be used as a logistical route for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer junction. We will also be setting up a construction site there, in order to build additional bridges on the southern and northern side of the existing five Schinkel bridges. It will remain in use until the end of the project in 2031. After that, Jachthavenweg will be reinstated as a seashell path for pedestrians. From now on, cyclists travelling from Amstelveenseweg will be able to take the route via IJsbaanpad on the north side of the A10 Zuid, or alternatively via Skûtjsespad and Piet Kranenbergpad on the south side of the A10 Zuid, to get to the Nieuwe Meersluis and back. The route will be indicated by means of yellow signposts.
Piet Kranenbergpad
After the summer, we will begin working next to Piet Kranenbergpad on the construction of new viaducts on both sides of the A10. In order to enable the work to be done safely, Piet Kranenbergpad will be partially closed. Cyclists and pedestrians will only have access during peak hours, but further information about that will follow soon.
Works in Amstelveenseweg
If you are a cyclist, you should be aware that from 3 June until 12 July 2024, works will also be happening in the nearby Amstelveenseweg. These works will not affect the diversions described above.
