Minervabrug: bridge closed for three months for repairs

The bridge, located between Prinses Margrietstraat and Stadionkade, will remain closed until 17.00 on 12 July. During this period, the City of Amsterdam is replacing the wooden road surface and seating and the supports and wooden beams underneath the road surface will be repaired. The street lights and railings will also be painted. In addition, the City of Amsterdam will repair the street paving, ensuring it is properly aligned with the bridge again.

Diversion

A signposted diversion will be in place for cyclists and pedestrians. It will be possible to cross the Amstelkanaal using the Joep Langebrug bridge next to Beethovenstraat, the route also taken by tram number 5. Seven parking spaces will be closed on the waterfront opposite Stadionkade 18 because the contractor needs to use this area as a work site. It will be possible to use Minervabrug again starting on Thursday, 13 July. The schedule may overrun slightly, depending on weather conditions.
