Temporary landscaping of two plots in Kop Zuidas

Developments in Kop Zuidas are moving fast. The finishing touches are being put on The Newton housing complex, and at Crossover, the residents have already moved in. With the completion of Hogelandplein about to happen, the public space is being given a fresh new look. Only plots K and L2 still need to be developed (see image) and we also need to add a small park alongside Kleine Wetering. However, these works are not set to start until 2026 when work begins on plot K. Until then, we plan to give the plots attractive temporary landscaping. We are interested in hearing your opinions about it. Will you share your views with us?

Sport, relaxation or something else?

Would you like to have a sports field, playground equipment for children or seating where you can quietly read a book? There are all kinds of possibilities for making attractive and beneficial use of the available space. However, not everything will be possible, since the temporary landscaping will be removed in a few years in order to develop the plots. So, there will be no buildings and no large trees will be planted. The area is also not intended for parking.

Next steps

We will announce the results on this website. Based on them, we will come up with a proposal for the design of the temporary landscaping. We will tell you about this proposal by the end of 2023. We hope to be able to finalise the design in early 2024 in order to begin working on the landscaping as soon as we can. Further information will follow on the exact schedule and presentation of the design proposal. We will notify local residents and businesses directly.

Want to be sure that you don’t miss any further information about the design? In that case, you can use this form to provide us with your details.
