The preparatory work has been completed. Two concrete structures, weighing a total of more than two million kilogrammes, have been lifted out of their formwork and moved several centimetres to test whether everything is in order. The result: the real work can now begin in earnest.
The major Zuidasdok project now has a new schedule. The original plan was for a single contractor to work on all of it. The project has now been divided into parts, some of which will be happening simultaneously. So, what can you expect?
The tendering process for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, including the bridges over the river Schinkel, has been officially launched. The project is part of the Zuidasdok project and aims to improve traffic flow on the A10 Zuid.

We are hard at work preparing for the long working weekend over Easter. That's when will be making the foundations for two new roof sections for the additional passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station – the Brittenpassage. We are currently assembling the caterpillar cranes.
From Thursday 1 April 8:00 pm until Tuesday 6 April 5:00 am, we will be working 24 hours per day on the roof of the new passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station. Although the A10 will remain in use at this time, the work will have a number of consequences for traffic,
The start and end point for the Amsteltram (line 25) will temporarily be located at Eduard van Beinumstraat, on the north side of Amsterdam Zuid station. This has been agreed by the participants in the Zuidasdok project.
At Easter, which for us starts as early as 20.00 on Thursday, 1 April, we will be installing the foundations for two sections of roof for the additional passenger tunnel under Amsterdam Zuid station. This will also involve removing a railway and metro track. It promises to be an exciting job.
The Amstelveen line, tram line 25, was put into use. Officially from Sunday 13 December 2020, but it is already possible to hop on. The renovation progressed entirely according to plan. Only the definitive stop at the Amsterdam Zuid station is still a problem.
During Whit weekend (8-10 June 2019), we will be putting the first part of the roof of the new Brittenpassage into position. But this mammoth task will be affecting travellers from as early as Friday, 10 May 2019. So what is all the work that needs to be done?
