Overnight works on the metro tracks

Until the end of 2021, we are working on the metro tracks from Amsterdam Zuid station to just past RAI. We are adding five switches. This will cause some disruption. The work is required in order to create a larger work site between the metro tracks at Amsterdam Zuid station.

Open day in Zuidas on 30 October

21 August: watch the work at Amsterdam Zuid station live

UPDATE: Extra sessions available due to high level of interest. On Saturday 21 August 2021, we will be putting two roof sections into position for the new passenger walkway under Amsterdam Zuid station. The work will be taking place right in the middle of the rail and metro tracks. You can register to watch live. But don’t wait too long – places are limited!

Visual artist creates ‘carnival mural’ to brighten up Atrium parking garage

The visual artist Cesare Botti has created an artwork on the wall of the old parking garage of Atrium, opposite hotel INNSiDE. This is a Zuidasdok initiative. Botti’s ‘Mural Carnival’ is temporary: the Brittenpassage will be located here in a few years’ time.

Amsterdam Zuidas Information Centre reopens

The doors have been closed for months, but it’s finally happened. The Amsterdam Zuidas Information Centre has reopened: from 10:00 and 16:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Of course, the current restrictions still apply.

The major Zuidasdok project now has a new schedule. The original plan was for a single contractor to work on all of it. The project has now been divided into parts, some of which will be happening simultaneously. So, what can you expect?

Tendering process launched for De Nieuwe Meer interchange

The tendering process for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, including the bridges over the river Schinkel, has been officially launched. The project is part of the Zuidasdok project and aims to improve traffic flow on the A10 Zuid.

The Amsterdam Zuidas Information Centre is expanding – and it’s happening online. A very practical move, especially in these times of coronavirus. But even after that, you’ll still be able to take a crash course on Zuidas from the comfort of your sofa. Of course, it's still always nicer and more educational to pay a visit in person.

2020: Zuidas builders continued to build

From mid-March 2020, the offices in Zuidas were more or less empty. Most schools and amenities were closed. As in the rest of the country, local residents had to adapt their day-to-day lives. But what about the Zuidas builders? They continued their work.
