The TriAX construction consortium is currently in the process of getting to know its neighbours. So, how does TriAX aim to develop good community relations with residents, businesses and other stakeholders around the De Nieuwe Meer interchange? By seeking them out and engaging in conversation.
The dismantling of the Schinkelbrug bridge control towers after half a century marks the end of an era. For now, the operators will be working from a hut. ‘You can definitely see more on camera, but you miss the sense of belonging to the bridge.’
At the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we are experimenting with so-called BioBlocks: compressed waste from plant materials on which new plants can grow. We aim to use them in the future to create green walls on either side of the A10 Zuid.
Today sees the start of the official consultation period for the exemption to the Nature Conservation Act for the De Nieuwe Meer interchange. This exemption regulates how to take special measures to protect nature in order to carry out works that would otherwise not be permissible.
In the tender for the work to reconstruct the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, the offer put forward by TriAX has been judged to be the best. This provisional awarding of the project marks the start of the process of widening one of the busiest motorways in the Netherlands, the A10 Zuid.
ProRail will be working on the railway tracks between 13 and 26 November, and it will not be possible to access Amsterdam Zuid station for two weeks. The Zuidasdok project will make use of this train-free period to relocate the control building for the rail and motorway bridges over the Schinkel.
Jaagpad and Riekerweg near the Schinkelbrug bridge will be closed for a short time in October and November 2022. A diversion will be put in place with clear signposting. The work is being done to prepare for the redesign of De Nieuwe Meer motorway interchange.
Between mid-October and mid-December, we will be working on the Schinkelbrug and Jaagpad north of the bridge. In preparation for the work at the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we will be moving the control towers for the Schinkelbrug.
Perhaps you missed the announcement in the summer: on 21 September 2022, we are organising a walk-in information meeting on the relocation of the controls for the Schinkelbrug bridge. These works are part of the process of updating the De Nieuwe Meer interchange.
In preparation for the work at De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we are going to move the control centre for the Schinkelbrug. This work will begin in the autumn. We hope you will be able to join us for a walk-in meeting on 21 September.
In the embankment along the A10 West, next to Luchtvaartstraat, there are some very important cables and pipelines. They are usually underground, but in order to enable the updating of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, they need to be moved and exposed to daylight. This is happening until July 2022.
From 27 May to 8 July 2022, the tunnel under Overschiestraat/Luchtvaartstraat (A10 West) will be closed to traffic. We will be laying cables and pipelines in it in preparation for the planned work to update the De Nieuwe Meer interchange.
