Are you curious about what we are building in and around Amsterdam Zuid station? At 16.00 on Tuesday, 16 April 2024, we are organising a guided tour of all of the works. This walking tour will include a look at the additional passenger tunnel, the Brittenpassage.
Between 7 July and 26 August 2024, the metros at Amsterdam Zuid station will run a modified service. Metros 50 and 51 will be using a single track instead of two, in both directions. The GVB's Ger Walstra tells us about it.
On Thursday, 1 February 2024, the new GVB Service & Tickets desk in the existing passageway at Amsterdam Zuid station will open. The existing desk has to be removed to make space for the renovation of the passageway.

The Nieuw-Zuid construction consortium (Mobilis, Boskalis, Van Gelder) has officially been given the go-ahead for the next phase of the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station. In the weekends of 9-10 and 23-24 September 2023, there will be disruption for travellers wishing to access the metro or railway from Zuidplein. The station entrance will be closed for up to 10 minutes on a regular basis (every two hours). There will also be noise disruption.
From Saturday, 19 until Sunday, 27 August, we are working on one of the metro platforms at Amsterdam Zuid station. This is creating space for the renovation of the existing station passageway. For a nine-day period, the metro will run a modified service.

The Zuidas-Zuidasdok Information Centre has an amazing new public attraction. You can now take a stroll through the regenerated Amsterdam Zuid station. You can visit the tunnels and passageways, railway and metro platforms, the bus and tram station.
During the night of 9-10 June 2023, we moved the first roof section for the existing passageway at Amsterdam Zuid station around 114 m to the east. The huge sheet of concrete is now well and truly in position. We take a look back at the process.
In the Minervapassage, the existing entrance to Amsterdam Zuid station, we are replacing the roof. In the evening of 9 June 2023, we will be moving a section of the new roof into position. This means that there will be another diversion in the passageway from 9 until 11 June.
Starting on the evening of Friday, 9 June, Amsterdam Zuid station will be the scene of a spectacle. We are moving a gigantic section of the new roof for the station entrance – the Minervapassage – into position. And you can come and watch the operation in person. All you need to do is register.
