12 March: market at our Information Centre

Although there will be nothing on sale, it will definitely be worth the effort coming along to our Information Centre in the WTC on tuesday 12 March 2024. At our market, you will have an opportunity to see, hear about and experience some of the major developments in your neighbourhood. You can even do some speed-dating.

Wooden head offices for BNP Paribas and Arcadis

On the so-called ‘de Boog‘ plot, construction work has started on The CubeHouse. This will be the new head offices of BNP Paribas Nederland and Arcadis. Remarkably, this office tower, developed by G&S&, will mostly be made out of wood.

2023: the year of shifting and digging

The broad contours of the second passageway at Amsterdam Zuid station became visible. The existing passageway was also renovated. Numerous construction projects were completed. We also put together a great summer party. All of that – and much more – was 2023 in Zuidas.

Anti-graffiti tests for Amsterdam Zuid station

We have conducted tests to identify which coating and which removal product will be most effective in combating graffiti at the new Amsterdam Zuid station. We have found a product that most effectively meets our requirements.

Be the first to walk through the new Brittenpassage

On Wednesday, 11 October 2023, we are organising something very special. For the first time ever, you have an opportunity to take a look around the additional passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station: the Brittenpassage. It promises to be an impressive journey underneath the A10, the trains and metros.

‘Surely, we’re here to help each other’

Henk Appels will shortly be standing down as Building Manager at the Atrium in Strawinskylaan. He sees a Zuidas that is becoming increasingly busy: homes are being built, and there will be a tunnel and a new passageway in the future. ‘Ultimately, we all need to work together.’

The A10 Zuid is set to close: come and see why

The evening of Saturday, 5 August 2023 marks the start of the closure of the A10 Zuid, in the direction of Utrecht and Hengelo. If you’re interested in finding out about what’s happening, why not come and take a look at the works at Amsterdam Zuid station. You can even take part in one (or more) of the other activities.

Don’t miss the Zuidas Zomer Keet

Starting on 20 July 2023, the Zuidas Zomer Keet (Zuidas Summer Shack) will be back in Gustav Mahlerplein. In it, we’ll tell you all about the summer works at Amsterdam Zuid station, but there’s also much more: guided tours, workshops and tuktuk rides. Make sure you don’t miss it!

Green, sustainable turf walls along the A10 Zuid

At the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we are experimenting with so-called BioBlocks: compressed waste from plant materials on which new plants can grow. We aim to use them in the future to create green walls on either side of the A10 Zuid.

2022 was quite the year – what does 2023 have in store?

Above all else, 2022 was the year when funding for the Zuidasdok project was finalized. But of course, it was also a year when we just kept on building. Many new homes were completed and work continued on the major upgrade at Amsterdam Zuid station. Preparations also began on the renovation of the motorway interchange at De Nieuwe Meer.

Bats protected during work on De Nieuwe Meer interchange

Today sees the start of the official consultation period for the exemption to the Nature Conservation Act for the De Nieuwe Meer interchange. This exemption regulates how to take special measures to protect nature in order to carry out works that would otherwise not be permissible.

There is plenty to do in and around the Zuidas Summer Shack

The summer holiday season is here – so let’s get into it! The Zuidas Summer Shack will open on Gustav Mahlerplein on 12 July 2022 and there will be so much to see and do. There’s a lot going on in the area over the summer. Come and find out more – learn, join in and have fun!
