In the Kop Zuidas area, the most easterly part of Zuidas, there is a lot happening at the same time. As contractors work on new buildings, we are working on public spaces. How much progress is being made? We present a summary of the works and schedules below.

Progress made on plans for pocket park next to PI59

At the start of 2023, people in the Prinses Irenebuurt area had an opportunity in two rounds of digital consultation to express their views about the future use of the PI59 parking deck and the street next to it. Should it be used for plants and flowers, a boules court or a basketball field?

Sporthallen Zuid set to stay, no housing construction

The relocation of the Sporthallen Zuid sports complex will not be happening after all. The complex will be refurbished and extended on its current site, as the 2023 Spring Memorandum (‘Voorjaarsnota 2023’) reveals. This puts an end to the planned construction of 550 homes in that area.

Suggest ideas (again) for the pocket park next to PI59

Starting on 1 May 2023, we are inviting the local community to suggest ideas for the pocket park between PI59 and law firm Freshfields. During the previous consultations in March, people’s preferences focused on green areas, sport and play. We now want to explore this in more detail. Will you contribute again, by swiping on the app?

Tendering process launched for housing and offices in Ravel

On 26 April 2023, the tendering process for a new project in the future Ravel residential district was launched. Between the Valley building and De Boelelaan, there are two plots where social and mid-market rented housing, office accommodation and a supermarket are planned.
