Beethovenstraat cycle path reopens

Since August of last year, we have been making major progress preparing for the leafy, low-traffic Ravel residential district. In Beethovenstraat, we removed several old cables and pipelines between De Boelelaan and the A10 viaduct. We also put in place eight new sections of cable ducting to make it possible to lay continuous transport cables for electricity not underneath, but alongside the new residential neighbourhood and in the direction of Buitenveldert. At the same time, to the east of Beethovenstraat, we also prepared plots C and D, on which housing, office accommodation and a supermarket will be built, for construction. To enable all of this work to happen, the cycle path on the eastern side of Beethovenstraat had to be temporarily taken out of use. With that work now complete, the cycle path and pavement can again be used by cyclists and pedestrians.

Low-traffic residential district Ravel

The new, leafy and low-traffic residential district Ravel is increasingly starting to take shape. After the completion of the Valley building, the work on the underground cables and pipelines and the relocation of the AFC football club, we can now start building more housing and amenities. The first of these is Kindercampus Zuidas. This will be followed by Tic-Tac-Toe, the first housing construction project in Ravel with 75 family homes. The Ravelly residential tower will also bring a further 75 social rented apartments to Zuidas. By 2035, Ravel will boast 1,350 homes.
