- Come along and test the tiles Starting now, Amsterdam Zuid station has become a test site for the natural stone tiles that will be used in the future station. We are testing different types of grey natural stone to see how they stand up to wear and usage over the next year.

- Zoning plan makes new residential neighbourhood possible Great news for Zuidas and the city: on 8 July 2021, the City Council approved the zoning plan for the Zuidas – Ravel residential neighbourhood. The plan will enable the development of a new, leafy family neighbourhood in Ravel, with 1,350 homes, 750 of which will be suitable for families.
- Changes made to plans for area around temporary court building As we have reported before, there are plans to build homes and offices on the site where the temporary court building currently stands. Those plans have now been modified in order to achieve the best possible quality for future residents. The new design chosen features a base building with two towers.
- Visual artist creates ‘carnival mural’ to brighten up Atrium parking garage The visual artist Cesare Botti has created an artwork on the wall of the old parking garage of Atrium, opposite hotel INNSiDE. This is a Zuidasdok initiative. Botti’s ‘Mural Carnival’ is temporary: the Brittenpassage will be located here in a few years’ time.
- Kindercampus ‘community hub in the new Ravel neighbourhood’ In 2024, the Kindercampus Zuidas childcare centre is moving to a brand-new building in the new Ravel residential neighbourhood. As a result, the primary school and childcare facility is set to take on a real community function. ‘We still want to have a place where we can continue to build huts.’
- Amsterdam Zuidas Information Centre reopens The doors have been closed for months, but it’s finally happened. The Amsterdam Zuidas Information Centre has reopened: from 10:00 and 16:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Of course, the current restrictions still apply.
- New schedule announced for Zuidasdok The major Zuidasdok project now has a new schedule. The original plan was for a single contractor to work on all of it. The project has now been divided into parts, some of which will be happening simultaneously. So, what can you expect?
- Tendering process launched for De Nieuwe Meer interchange The tendering process for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, including the bridges over the river Schinkel, has been officially launched. The project is part of the Zuidasdok project and aims to improve traffic flow on the A10 Zuid.
