Over 200 social rented apartments for first-timers

The De Key housing association is developing a residential tower comprising 216 apartments for first-timers. They will be the first of 2,700 apartments to be built close to VU Amsterdam in the years ahead. The apartments are scheduled for completion in 2024.

INNSiDE Hotel in 2Amsterdam opens 10 December

On 10 December 2020, the INNSiDE Hotel is opening a new four-star hotel in one of the two towers of 2Amsterdam. It will be the Spanish hotel chain Meliá's first hotel in the Netherlands. General manager Sjoerd Sybesma took us for a guided tour.

Zuidas acquires an 86-metre high wooden tower

Zuidas acquires another eyecatcher. Under the authority of listed commercial property investor NSI, Dam & Partners Architecten designed an 86-metre high office building, one of the highest wooden office buildings in the world.

Two housing construction projects in preparation

We are in the process of preparing the tenders for two new housing construction projects in Zuidas. The first of these is for the construction plot next to Beatrixpark. The other one is for the first construction plot of the new residential district Ravel. We will begin by sounding out market interest.

A former office building on Prinses Irenestraat, built in the 1970s, is to undergo renovation. It was one of the first buildings to be built in Zuidas. The current occupant, the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS), will be relocating to new premises.

Premier Suites Plus Amsterdam opens in Hourglass

On 1 July 2020, the sign for the aparthotel Premier Suites Plus Amsterdam was hoisted into the air and attached to Hourglass. The hotel is now officially ready for its very first guests. General Manager Tom Vermerris: ‘This is the day we’ve been waiting for.’
